Steve Bodow is Executive Producer and showrunner of Netflix's Patriot Act with Hasan Minhaj. Previously, he spent 17 years at The Daily Show (with Jon Stewart and with Trevor Noah) as a writer, Head Writer and EP, earning 14 Emmy awards. Steve has also been a journalist (Wired, New York, NYTimes Magazine) and a theater director (NYC's Elevator Repair Service Theater). He lives in Brooklyn with his wife and two daughters.

Gretchen Gonzales Davidson is a musician and arts advocate. She serves on the board at the College for Creative Studies, Cranbrook Art Academy, Detroit Children’s Fund, Culture Lab, and the Friends of Modern Art at the Detroit Institute of Arts. Gretchen is also politically active and served as a Clinton delegate in 2016. She graduated from Michigan State University with a dual-degree in Anthropology and Environmental Policy. She resides in the metro-Detroit area with her husband and three sons.

Lacey Schwartz Delgado is an award-winning producer, writer, director, outreach strategist who draws on her interdisciplinary background to create compelling stories that span documentary and fiction and work with innovative organizations and brands. Little White Lie, her debut film, a story about uncovering secrets and coming to terms with your identity, has been distributed worldwide.

Ben Elowitz, Board Treasurer, is a multi-time entrepreneur and startup advisor. Ben began his career at Bain & Company, before joining early e-commerce company Fatbrain.com (NSDQ: FATB), which went public in 1998 and was acquired by Barnes and Noble. Ben co-founded Blue Nile (NSDQ: NILE), the leading online retailer of certified diamonds and fine jewelry. Afterwards, Ben co-founded Wetpaint, the socially driven entertainment news site with an audience of 20 million monthly users, acquired by Viggle (NSDQ: VGGL). Currently, Ben is Managing Director of Madrona Venture Labs, the startup studio associated with Madrona, the leading venture capital investment firm in the pacific northwest. Ben is also an investor and advisor to CEOs and boards for tech startups including Minted, Dolly, and Magnolia Medical Technologies.

Adam Gross most recently served as CEO of Heroku, one of the leading PaaS (platform as a service) providers, and part of the Salesforce.com’s platform. A graduate of Carnegie Mellon University, Adam has founded two companies (Personify and Cloud Connect) and was an early employee at three others (Grand Central, Salesforce.com and Dropbox), working in variety of marketing and technology leadership roles.

Jamie Kantrowitz, Board Chair Elect, is an entrepreneur and investor. She is a graduate of Emory University, where she earned a BA in International Relations. She worked with brands like Hearst, Ralph Lauren, and NBC on their first foray onto the web. She is the founder of the Gobbler, a Cloud platform that facilitates media project management. Jamie also co-founded the Los Angeles Women's Collective PAC an organization and Political Action Committee created to support women's issues and increase the representation of women in politics. In 2012, she was an adviser to the CTO for President Barack Obama’s digital campaign. Jamie has served as a Board Director for SoundCloud. She was previously a partner at Launchpad LA, a Startup accelerator in Southern California. She is a Los Angeles native and is married to David Greenbaum.

Samantha Kurtzman-Counter, Board Secretary, is President of The Mother Company, a multi-media venture dedicated to Helping Parents Raise Good People. The Mother Company creates and produces content for both parents and kids, including the preschool series “Ruby’s Studio” (which garnered her an Emmy) and the 11 children’s books she co-authored. Sam is also the co-founder of TellStella, a digital service that connects struggling parents with parenting experts, on demand (gotellstella.com.) Sam curates and contributes to the wealth of expert parenting advice at TheMotherCo.com, and has been interviewed in editorial as well as broadcast segments on MSNBC, WGN-TV, Home & Family, KTLA and WABC-TV. Sam serves as a parenting blogger for Huffington Post and is also a regular speaker at premier women’s and parenting conferences. She also oversees the non-profit arm of The Mother Company, which aims to provide essential social and emotional skill-building tools to young children nationwide, regardless of resources or native language. She lives in LA with her husband, son, and two rescue terrier mutts.

Brina Milikowsky, Board Vice Chair, is a political strategist and social entrepreneur who advises progressive organizations and major donors on strategic planning, legislative and ballot initiative campaigns, and organizational development. She is a founder of the Voting Rights Lab, a post-partisan organization defending equitable voting access for all Americans by building and supporting winning state legislative campaigns. From 2014-2017, Brina served as the Chief Strategy Officer at Everytown for Gun Safety, the nation's largest gun violence prevention advocacy organization, founded by Mike Bloomberg. During her tenure, Brina helped transform the organization from a coalition of mayors and policy advisors to a national advocacy organization built to go toe-to-toe with the gun lobby, with 125 staff members, 3 million grassroots members active in all 50 states, and a demonstrated track record of winning bipartisan legislative and ballot initiative campaigns to strengthen gun laws around the country. From 2010-2013, she was Senior Policy Advisor and Counsel in the NYC Mayor's Office. Prior to City Hall, Brina worked for a D.C-based legal advocacy organization, was policy director on a Congressional campaign, clerked for a federal judge, and worked as a litigation associate at a New York City law firm. She is a graduate of Harvard University and New York University School of Law, where she was an Arthur Garfield Hays Fellow in Civil Liberties, and in 2013 she was named one of Crain's New York 40 Under Forty. She currently serves as Chair of the Board of Directors of NARAL Pro-Choice America.

Christopher Noxon is a writer and illustrator. He’s the author of the novel “Plus One” and the nonfiction “Rejuvenile: Kickball Cartoons Cupcakes and the Reinvention of the American Grown Up” and the upcoming graphic nonfiction “Good Trouble: Lessons from the Civil Rights Playbook for Activists Today." As a journalist, he has written for the New Yorker, Details, the New York Times Magazine and Salon. His illustrations have appeared in Tablet, the Hollywood Reporter and the Reboot publication “Unscrolled.” He is a past LA chair of Reboot, a co-founder of East Side Jews and a current board member of Temple Israel of Hollywood.

Benj Pasek is a member of the Oscar, Grammy, Tony, and Golden Globe Award-winning songwriting duo Pasek & Paul, and is best known for his work on “Dear Evan Hansen”, “La La Land”, and “The Greatest Showman”. Pasek & Paul songs “City of Stars” and “Audition (The Fools Who Dream)” from “La La Land” (with collaborator Justin Hurwitz) were both nominated for the Academy Award for Best Original Song, and “City of Stars” garnered both the Academy Award and Golden Globe for Best Original Song in a Motion Picture. Pasek & Paul won the 2018 Golden Globe for Best Original Song for “This Is Me” from “The Greatest Showman”, which was also nominated for the 2018 Academy Award for Best Original Song. On Broadway, Pasek co-composed the score for the six-time Tony Award-winning “Dear Evan Hansen”, the highly acclaimed original musical for which he received an Obie Award, a Drama Desk Award, the Tony Award for Best Score. The “Dear Evan Hansen” Original Broadway Cast Recording won the 2018 Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album. Upcoming projects include the live-action movie musicals “Aladdin” and “Snow White” at Disney, and original animated musical “Foster” at Fox Animation/Blue Sky Studios.

Stacey Reiss is an Emmy award-winning filmmaker who produces narrative and documentary films. She produced “The Perfection” starring Allison Williams and “The Eagle Huntress” which was shortlisted for an Academy Award. Other credits include “Tokyo Project”, “Suited”, “The Diplomat” and “I Knew it Was You”; all acquired by HBO. Stacey lives in Brooklyn with her husband and their two boys.

Daniel J. Sokatch is the Chief Executive Officer of the New Israel Fund (NIF). Before joining NIF, Sokatch served as the Executive Director of the Jewish Community Federation of San Francisco, the Peninsula, Marin and Sonoma Counties. Prior to his tenure at Federation, he served as the founding Executive Director of the Los Angeles based Progressive Jewish Alliance.

Jessy Tolkan is a Partner, Chief Campaigns Officer and Executive Director of Purpose Labs. Jessy has spent more than 15 years building people-powered movements. From climate change to voting rights to women’s leadership, she has specialized in unlocking new strategies and approaches to creating transformative and lasting change. Jessy received her B.A. in Political Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. In 2008, Rolling Stone Magazine named her one of the 100 agents of change in America.

Adam Walden, Board Chair, spent the bulk of his career building cultural distractions for curious people. He started as a partner and president of arts & entertainment organization Gen Art in the 2000s, ultimately moving west to run experiential marketing for Current TV. He launched and ran the San Francisco office for young-adult marketing agency Noise, ultimately managing the merger with sister company Deep Focus. Along the way he served as the associate producer of Pop-Up Magazine, competed a few triathlons and made two beautiful babies with his perfect wife Tali. He currently runs the transition and change management consulting company Guides & Foster. 

Anne Wojcicki co-founded 23andMe in 2006 after a decade spent in healthcare investing, focused primarily on biotechnology companies. Her hope was to empower consumers with access to their own genetic information and to create a way to generate more personalized information so that commercial and academic researchers could better understand and develop new drugs and diagnostics. Presently, 23andMe has built one of the world’s largest databases of individual genetic information. Its novel, web-based research approach allows for the rapid recruitment of participants to many genome-wide association studies at once, reducing the time and money needed to make new discoveries, and the company has created a proven and standardized resource for finding new genetic association and confirming genetic loci discovered by others. Under Anne’s leadership 23andMe has made significant advances in bringing personalized medicine directly to the public. Anne graduated from Yale University with a BS in Biology. Getting access to and understanding her own genetic information had always been one of her ambitions.
