The annual Reboot Hanukkah Pop-Up Shop is a curated gift shop featuring collectibles, engagement tools, and specialty items, designed to inspire anyone interested in Jewish life.


Collections include books, films, music, activities, unique ritual items, and other ephemera to help you rekindle your Jewish connections.


The Hanukkah Pop Up will be open daily at 10 a.m. with special events throughout the week, including:

  • The Hanukkah Ornament: Young Adult Cocktail Party Co-Sponsored with Congregation Sha’ar Zahav

  • Mahjong with Sara Linden Levy

  • Warrior Training: Movement and Meditation with At The Well and Special Smoothies with Bright Bean Health

Wednesday, November 28:

• Shop open 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.

Friday, November 30:

• 1 p.m. - 3 p.m. MahJongg with Sara Linden Levy’s Mahj Club with tea and treats.

• 8 p.m. “The Hanukkah Ornament” young adult cocktail party co-presented by Congregation Sha’ar Zahav and Reboot. Our “Hanukkah Ornament” conversation acknowledges the competition between Hanukkah and Christmas. We will explore what it means for Jews to maintain our particularity within a larger Christian culture and have a Menorah “ornament” craft activity while we sip our speciality cocktail, "The Geltini." Free ticket below.

Saturday, December 1: 

• 8:30 a.m. - 10 a.m. “Warrior Training” with At The Well, movement and meditation topped off with special smoothies by Stefanie Adler of Bright Bean Health.

We'll read the story of Judith on Hanukkah, the story of a brave, fearless, and powerful Bada** biblical babe. Few may know her story, but any woman looking to empower her life will resonate deeply with what Judith is known for. Spend a special Shabbat morning moving our bodies, and recounting the story. We will learn and embody all this power. You'll leave stronger and taller, and have a wonderful way to kick off the holiday of lights! Ticket link below.

• 6 p.m. - 7 p.m. Light it Up: Olive Oil Tasting for young adults with Sherith Israel and Reboot.

Traditional menorahs use olive oil with wicks instead of candles. Join us for a teaching and tasting with Sherith Israel Rabbi Jessica Zimmerman-Graf. Free tickets below.

Sunday, December 2:

• Hanukkah crafts and activities all day.

•2 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. Family Hanukkah party with music, crafts, Hanukkah-themed treats and menorah “lighting” with Jessica Zimmerman-Graf of Congregation Sherith Israel. Make light stick menorahs and Hanukkah ornaments and fill your own donut holes with pudding and jam! Free tickets below.

Monday, December 3:

• Shop open 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.

Tuesday, December 4:

• 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. Gelty Pleasures: The alternative Christmas party, a sing-along around a piano with Hanukkah songs and the famous Christmas songs by Jewish writers/singers. Songs at 7 p.m., led by Sharky Laguana. Free tickets below.

Wednesday, December 5:

• 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. Castro Menorah Lighting After Party with Congregation Sha’ar Zahav and free bookbinding and eco-gift wrapping workshops from Limmud Bay Area. Wine and snacks and all-ages free Hanukkah activities.

• 7 p.m. - 8 p.m. Hands-on book-binding workshop,

• 8 - 8:30 p.m. Workshop on ecological gift-wrapping, creative ideas to make beautiful gift wrapping without commercial wrapping paper. Free tickets below.
